Print Your UK Passport Photo

Paper passport applications need two identical printed 35×45 mm photos on professional-quality paper. You can print at home or upload our layout to a shop kiosk.

Print methods

Choose based on your equipment and deadline:

  • Home photo printer on glossy or matte photo paper
  • High-street kiosk — upload a file from our 4×6 layout tool
  • In-store passport service — staff print two copies for you

Using a print layout

After cropping to UK 35×45 in our tool, choose a print sheet layout on the preview step. Upload the file through Tesco, Boots, or Snappy Snaps apps—or print at actual size (100%) at home.

  • Select UK 35×45 template before cropping
  • Pick a multi-photo sheet layout when available
  • Do not resize in the print dialog—use 100% scale

Paper application rules

Print two identical copies. Photos must be unmarked on both sides unless a countersignatory signs the back of one photo. Use photos taken within the last month for paper forms.
