Always confirm the latest rules on the official government site before you submit.
Official pages list rules; these notes highlight mistakes we see when people crop at home before online upload or print.
- TRV photos are typically at least 35×45 mm—do not reuse a 50×70 passport print without cropping.
- Head height still matters: aim for 31–36 mm from chin to crown on the finished print.
- Provide two identical photos on quality photographic paper.
- Neutral expression, mouth closed, looking straight—smiles and open mouths often fail.
